The Kilkenny team to face Laois in round 3 of the Allianz Hurling League this Sunday has been named.
Compared to the side that started against Tipperary in the league a fortnight ago, there are a considerable number of changes, though more were made for the Cats’ challenge match against Tipperary on Sunday last in aid of the Dillon Quirke Foundation.
Eoin Cody returns to captain the side and s named in the half-forward line, joined in the starting lineup by clubmate Richie Reid. Padraig Walsh switches to corner back with Bill Drennan, Mossy Keoghan and the goal-hungry Gearoid Dunne spearheading the forward line. Aidan Tallis (Lisdowney), David Blanchfield (Bennettsbridge) and the O’Loughlin Gaels trio of Mikey Butler, Huw Lawlor and Conor Heary miss out entirely.
