Marble City Hawks Basketball Coach Julian O’Keeffe says they will respond and bounce back in future despite such a disappointing season in which they are almost certain for relegation.
The Hawks are bottom of the table without a win all season and they host near neighbors WIT Wildcats in the SuperLeague on Saturday evening and speaking to KCLR, Julian says the girls enthusiasm and commitment has not waned at any stage throughout the season despite their difficulties.
He said “In fairness to the girls, they are still there every week, they come to training injuries or not, they are standing on the sideline supporting the girls, they are working extremely hard on certain aspects of the games, but we are just not scoring and it is a bit disheartening for them, but they just have to keep plugging away because we had some good sides before, we will have them again”.
