You know you’re in the thick of an All-Ireland buildup when there’s an open training session held at UPMC Nowlan Park.
That’s exactly the case tonight (Tuesday) as the Kilkenny senior camogie team are set to train on the pitch at Kilkenny GAA HQ with an open invitation to the public to attend.
The hour-long session provides an opportunity for supporters and fans to get up close and personal with players, follow a training session, then meet and greet the players for photos and autographs afterwards.
Kilkenny Camogie are encouraging those heading along to bring your jerseys, hurleys and more to give the team a show of support ahead of their All-Ireland final showdown with Cork on Sunday week.
It will be the last public engagement for players and management ahead of this year’s All-Ireland senior camogie championship final. The Cats booked their return trip to Croke Park following a 1-13 to 1-12 defeat of Galway in Dublin on Saturday.
Tonight’s training session is set for a 7.30pm start with the meet-and-greet from 8.30pm.
