Brian Cody has confirmed that Michael Fennelly is a long way back from returning to competitive action.
The Ballyhale man suffered an ankle injury last year and is still recuperating.
Speaking to KCLR Brian says you cant rush a recovery like that…..
“The reason he is a long ways away is because he is coming back from a serious serious surgical procedure obviously which was as a result of a serious injury so he is in rehab at the moment working really really hard, but timescale, there is no timescale”
Meanwhile Brian says that having to almost certainly travel to Wexford Park for their Leinster Championship clash on June 10th will have no bearing…..
“Pitches never bother to me where the match is on. If this game was on in Wexford Park or where-ever it wouldn’t bother me either”
“The game is the game and it will be played out on the pitch and the venue is irrelevant to be honest”
