The GAA have confirmed the All Ireland Minor quarter final clash between Kilkenny and Clare will take place next Saturday in Semple Stadium.
Former Kilkenny All-Ireland Minor winning Captain Michael Rice believes that the team would of benefited greatly from having played in Croke Park last Sunday and can take plenty of positives despite the loss.
Speaking after Sunday’s game he said, “I mean it is the learning that you get from it, the enjoyment that you get from it, I mean for lots of those young players to be able to say that they played in Croke Park at 16, 17 years of age is a fantastic thing to have for those players and no doubt it will give them a taste of Croke Park”.
“They will be mad to come back here again and their will be some players that maybe were on the bench today or didn’t perform great today, but they should come back stronger, we might see those names in the future on Senior panels”
