The Electric Ireland All-Ireland minor camogie championships continued over the weekend with mixed results for Kilkenny and Carlow.

For Mike Wall’s Kilkenny side, their rollercoaster Minor A championship season continued in Freshford on Sunday. Having edged Tipperary by a point in the opening round of games last month, a second-round defeat to Galway was followed up with a three-point win over Waterford to close out March. Facing Cork on Sunday, Kilkenny lead by three points again at the break thanks in part to a Lauren Ronan goal but the Leesiders clawed their way back into the game, leaving Kilkenny needing a late Rachel Dowling free to secure a 1-11 draw.

In the Minor B championship, Carlow found themselves in Rathdowney on Sunday afternoon for a 3pm game against Laois that saw second (Laois) play third (Carlow) while Roscommon topped the pile heading into the fourth round of games.

With Tara Lowry and Eimear Hassett sharing 2-8 between them, Laois beat Carlow 4-11 to 2-7, all but assuring the O’Moore county of a place in this year’s All-Ireland Minor B semi-finals.

Carlow have one game left to play in the group stages with the hosting of Kildare on the weekend of 15/16 April.

Check on the tables and fixtures here for Carlow and here for Kilkenny.
