The Irish Open could be held in Northern Ireland in September.
The Irish Independent reports the European Tour may schedule the national championship for Galgorm Castle near Ballymena from September 24th to 27th.
This could allow players returning home from the US Open the prospect of avoiding COVID 19 restrictions that would apply South of the border.
It was due to take place at Mount Juliet back in May but was cancelled due to the pandemic.
