Mt. Leinster Rangers Minor manager Colm O’Byrne says that approach from the players was still the same regardless of the situation they were in at half-time.
Speaking to KCLR after Saturday’s County Minor Final victory over Naomh Eoin Myshall, Colm says they never panicked at any stage…..
“Well we have always said that 5 minutes into the game, you want to be playing, 10 minutes to be on the scoreboard, 15 to be in the game, and at half-time, you want to be 5 up or 5 down and it’s all the same, and like when you say that so many times, I think actually they believe it now at this stage”
“Those boys wouldn’t have seen 3 points at half-time as been down. I walked in after them and the first thing they were saying was they were still in the game. They are still the same, whether you are three points up or three points down, you are approaching the 2nd half the exact same way”
