Mullinavat Senior Hurling manager Maurice Aylward says it’s totally unfair that the final round of Senior and Intermediate league games are been played midweek on Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd August.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of this weekends clash against St. Martins, Maurice says playing midweek games is going to cause havoc with a number of players having to commute from around the country…..
“It’s totally unfair in my opinion, but look there is no use in me giving out about those things because it’s going on and on and on and nobody seems to be able to come up with a solution to those problems”
“I think it’s unbelievable at this time of the year with the Kilkenny Senior Team and now the minor Team gone out of it that we have to play a midweek game at a quarter to 7 and bring players from long journeys to play and I don’t think it’s fair at this stage, but look you play what’s down in front of you and that’s all you can do”
