Myshall goalkeeper Joanne Joyce says the massive support from within the parish made all the difference as they won the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Final yesterday.
They beat Tyrone club Eglish 1-10 to 1-09 with Ciara Quirke scoring a personal tally of 1-09 for the local side.
Speaking to KCLR, Joanne says she was happy if the sliothar was anywhere except around her own goal area……
“I didn’t care where it went as long as it didn’t come near me and when I went out and first ran onto Croke Park, it’s just such an amazing pitch and yeah look it’s fabulous to get to play in Croke Park, it’s just amazing, but when you see the support and not so much even see it, but when you hear the support going out that we had today and it was the 16th player on the pitch as the saying goes but yeah we are absolutely thrilled to bits but there is just none happier than this bunch of girls here today, it’s fantastic”
