Kilkenny City Harriers Athlete Cliodhna Manning says that not doing well in the 200 metres prompted her to take the step-up to 400 metres.
Speaking to KCLR after winning the 400 metres at the National Senior Championships last Sunday, Cliodhna says she found a new lease of life running in the 400 metres in Santry
“I have been focusing on the 100 and 200s, well mostly the 200 for this season and that wasn’t going that well for me at all and I ran last weekend over in Poland in the European Under-23s and I didn’t too that well, I was really disappointed.
“After that run, I have kind of got just fed up running in 200s and doing badly in them so I decider to enter the 400s for the National Seniors just to mix it up a bit,” said Cliodhna.
