Two tries in the opening six minutes set the tone for Newbridge’s impressive performance against Kilkenny College in the Bank of Ireland Leinster Schools Senior Cup quarter-final at Energia Park on Tuesday afternoon.
The Kildare school wasted no time in taking control playing a kicking game and keeping Kilkenny pinned back.
Kilkenny was held up twice over the line in their attempts to keep up with Newbridge however they did get over the line thanks to Watchorn and Adewuyi with Naughton converting one of the scores.
Kilkenny’s junior side is out next week in their cup game.
The final score, Newbridge College 29, Kilkenny College 12.
