Niall Carew has named a strong starting line-up for tonight’s O’Byrne Cup meeting with Meath.
The Carlow manager has included captain Daragh Foley, Colm Hulton, Jordan Morrissey and Mikey Bambrick in his team as the Barrowsiders begin their 2023 campaign.
Goalkeeper Ciaran Cunningham gets the nod between the posts, while Dara Curran and Jonah Dunne are named either side of Bambrick in the full-back line.
Morrissey starts at centre-back with Conor Doyle and Seanie Bambrick the preferred wing-backs.
Finbar Kavanagh and Liam Brennan are the midfield duo who will be hoping to stake their claim for the year ahead.
The half-forward line is made up of former soccer player Eric Molloy and former intercounty hurler Aaron Amond with Ciaran Moran beginning at centre-forward.
Foley will ploy his trade at the edge of the square as Hulton and Conor Crowley make up the rest of the team.
Throw-in at Netwatch Cullen Park is 8pm.
The Tailteann Cup quarter-finalists have a trip with Longford to look forward on Saturday following tonight’s game under the lights.
