Kilkenny senior manager Brian Dowling says no one is guaranteed their place on the team for any of the games.
The cats are busy getting ready for their All Ireland camogie championship game against Galway on Saturday in John Locke’s Park in Callan.
Brian told scoreline that reputations count for nothing with his side.
“The girls know that at this stage when we got involved that was the one message we said, I don’t care who you are or what you’ve done last year’s reputations count for nothing with us,” said Brian.
“I think anyone looking in from the outside can certainly see that, we’ve given girls chances of they’re good enough, if they perform well enough they get the start, they don’t have any perceptions that we’re going to pick someone else over somebody else”.
“If you do the job on the pitch, you hold onto that jersey, it’s as simple as that, again it’s definitely jerseys up for grabs now for Saturday.
We have live commentary of the game here on KCLR live from John Locke’s Park in Callan from 5pm with thanks to Country Style Foods.
