It’s as-you-were for Kilkenny following their win over Westmeath last week with Derek Lyng naming an unchanged side to start against Galway in UPMC Nowlan Park on Sunday.
It’s the 50th championship meeting of the sides and following Kilkenny’s comprehensive opening-round win, the Cats see fit to proceed with the same starting fifteen and bench. Lyng had already confirmed to KCLR that Paddy Deegan and Billy Drennan will be unavailable for the next two or three rounds as they recover from knocks picked up in the line of duty.
Veterans of the side Walter Walsh and Richie Hogan sit out proceedings on Sunday.
