As things go, July turned out to be a pretty quick month.
Underage hurling championships came to a close in Kilkenny in time for the start of the league season, we saw the Cats contest this year’s All-Ireland senior hurling final while on the camogie front there were some great games for Kilkenny’s senior in the end of the championships group stages, quarter-finals and semi-finals.
We watched the golf in Mount Juliet, and saw some of the county’s young stars excel in the world of boxing, basketball, athletics, soccer and more and as such, there are plenty of options when it comes to making a nomination for the Kilkenny Sport Star Award for July.
You can get your nominations in from lunchtime Tuesday until 6pm Sunday and we’ll be announcing the winner come lunchtime on Monday 8 August.
The Kilkenny Sport Star Award is sponsored by David Buggy Motors, the home of KIA in Kilkenny.
