The nominations for the November round of the 2017 David Buggy Motors Kilkenny Sport Star Awards have been announced and voting is now open, continuing until 6pm Sunday 3 December.

The Kilkenny native, now living in Australia, put in a massive showing under his Shamrock Motorsport banner by finishing 8th overall in the WRC Rally of Australia. Listen back to his interview here.

Kilkenny City Harriers’ Brian Maher scored a massive win in taking the British & Irish Cross Country Masters title in early November as KCH continue to shine on the national level in the athletics world.

Rider turned trainer in early 2016, Piltown-based Joseph O’Brien became the youngest ever trainer to win the Melbourne Cup in Australia earlier this month, leading the way in an Irish 1-2-3 at the age of 24.
