Former Leinster and Ireland out-half Mick Quinn says if Sean O’Brien has injury problems again next season, it could place his career in jeopardy.
The Tullow man picked up a hamstring injury against France in the Six Nations and hasn’t played since.
He travelled to London recently to undergo surgery to fix the problem but he has been ruled of the Guinness Pro 12 final this weekend and the Irish summer tour to South Africa.
Mick says how Sean does in his recovery this Summer will be central to his future prospects…..
“He’s certainly had his bad luck on injuries in the last couple of years”
“The constant hamstring injuries are a bit of a worry but I think if he gets this summer out of the way and gets a chance to recuperate properly and get himself back into good shape for September I think he should be fine”
“But again, if he has problems again next season he’ll have to start looking at his career and see if there’s any future in it”.
