KCLR analyst Michael Walsh says the Kilkenny squad are getting great experience in the Walsh Cup competition.

He was speaking to KCLR ahead of Saturday’s Walsh Cup Semi-Final clash against Offaly.

Michael says Offaly will be tough…

“With Westmeath, we played Offaly twice over the last weeks. Two really competitive games”

“In fairness to Kevin Martin, he is trying to put things back together and it seems to be a better spirit there altogether so look, they will be looking forward to playing Kilkenny”

“Kilkenny have done really well in the two matches as well, another more than 35 or 36 players used maybe and great experience for them and for I suppose the management team to see what will come through for the year which is a start”

“The opposition, they are a Division below or two Divisions below in some cases but at the end of the day, people have to start off somewhere and two very decent performances, and hopefully a number of people will be pushing for places”
