Massive congratulations to Old Leighlin who have advanced to the Leinster Intermediate Final next weekend.
Old Leighlin got some early goals which allowed the Carlow champions to go into the break leading by five with goals from Rachel Sawyer and Aoibhinn Gilmartin.
Despite going down to 14 after a yellow card, Old Leighlin held out with Dunshauglin not being able to forge a comeback despite a flurry of scores at the end.
A tough opponent awaits them in the form of the Wicklow Champions Tinahely. They had a truly dominant victory against St. Rynaghs, restricting them to a single point all game, scoring 7 – 15 in the process.
