Old Leighlin Senior Football manager David Power says they will have to be ready for a dogfight against Kilbride in Saturday’s relegation Final.
Speaking to KCLR, David says the fact they have won and contested County Finals over the past 5 years will have no bearing on Saturday evening.
“It is what is, what they have achieved in the past has been huge, but also what they have achieved in the past won’t help us on Saturday.
“If we go in with the attitude that we are a Senior club, that’s the rock we could perish on really because no one has a given right to be Senior.
“Like I’m from Tipperary, it doesn’t matter what county you are from, if you go in with the attitude that look we are a Senior club, you could easily view it in a dogfight and we will be ready for a dogfight.
“I have no doubt Kilbride have a lot of good players as well and we will certainly not be taking them for granted,” he said.
