“Great honour to be chosen for All Ireland Final Day” – Carlow referee Paud O’Dwyer

Paud O'Dwyer

Palatine Native Paud O’Dwyer is delighted to be involved as stand-by referee in Sunday’s All-Ireland Hurling Final.

Paud will be assistant to Wexford official James Owens for Sunday’s showdown and speaking to KCLR, he says it has happened previously where on linesman duty he had to step in for the injured referee.

He said “I am just happy to be involved. We are kind of hoping maybe we might get the job in the middle alright, but still very happy to be involved as standby, but it has happened on a couple of occasions”.
