Kilkenny Golfer Luke Donnelly says that Paul McGinley is a significant factor in trying to bring the Irish Open to Mount Juiliet next year.
Speaking to KCLR, Luke says that the former Ryder Cup captain has strong connections with the Thomastown venue.
He said “With Paul been associated with Mount Juliet, I am guessing the European Tour would have contacted him asking him about the place and they would definitely would have done their research on it, they wouldn’t have gone their just to waste their time, they would have done their research and even if you listen to the Irish Open and the British Open, he was always mentioning Mt. Juliet as a top parkland course and it is, it is definitely one of the best parklands in Ireland”.
