Darren O’Neill is looking forward to the challenge of fighting as a Professional.
The Paulstown native is scheduled to make his Pro debut on the October Bank Holiday in Belfast, and speaking to KCLR, Darren says he can’t wait to get back into the ring after a lengthy lay-off.
He said “It’s exciting times I suppose, I have had so many years in the top level at amateur, I suppose it’s a new task or a new kind of front I am facing into but I am looking forward to it, I haven’t fought in two years but as I have said before and people have laughed, you do miss been punched in the face or you at least miss trying to been punched in the face but yeah, I am looking forward to it and it should be exciting”.
