One of the most anticipated fights on the Irish MMA landscape has been pushed out a fortnight.

Kilkenny’s Myles Price, head coach at Team Ryano Kilkenny, was due to face Anthony ‘Showtime’ Pettis in his PFL debut on Wednesday 20 April, the bout serving as the co-main event for that night’s card.

PFL announced a number of changes along with the full card PFL 3, slated for Friday 6 May at Esports Stadium, Arlington, Texas.

2021 PFL women’s lightweight champion Kayla Harrison beings her journey to a third championship title against Marina Mokhnatkina in the evening’s main event.

Last year’s welterweight champion Ray Cooper III returns to the PFL SmartCage in the night’s co-main event against the unbeaten Magomed ‘Prince’ Umalatov. Rory MacDonald is back in PFL action too, joining the main card to take on Brett Cooper.

That’s before Price gets his crack at the former UFC lightweight champion and makes his introduction to a live US audience with a global reach across 160 countries.

“May 6 is set to be one of the most action-packed Regular Season cards in PFL history,” said PFL President of Fighter Operations, Ray Sefo. “I cannot wait to see returning champions Kayla Harrison and Ray Cooper III as well as elite fighters Rory MacDonald and Anthony Pettis begin their journey to the PFL Playoffs.”

“Fight fans around the world will be thrilled with the action and night of champions we have lined up for PFL 3 on May 6,” said PFL CEO Peter Murray.

“The return of the most dominant woman in MMA Kayla Harrison, Anthony ‘Showtime’ Pettis seeking redemption, and the greatest Welterweight division in the entire sport led by Ray Cooper III and Rory MacDonald makes this one of the best MMA cards of the year.”

You’ll be able to watch the card in full on Channel 4 following a deal announced in February this year to broadcast to the UK and Ireland.
