Playing a team like Ballyhale Shamrocks is an honour says St Mullins Manager

St. Mullins Senior Hurling Manager Niall O’Donnell says it will be an honour to be playing a team of Ballyhale Shamrocks calibre in Sunday’s Leinster Senior Club Final.

Speaking to KCLR, Niall says it’s a tribute to their progression that they will be competing in Sunday’s Provincial showdown especially after a severe drubbing they received in a Kilkenny League match earlier in the year.

He said “Ballyhale are an exceptional team, current All-Ireland Champions and I would say we will be just so honoured to take the field with them in a Championship match”.

“I can remember earlier this year playing Piltown in the League in Kilkenny and they destroyed us. I think they beat us by 34 points, now we didn’t have a full team but we had I think seven or eight of the team there playing so it just shows how far the team have come”.
