Presentation Kilkenny’s Ellen Molloy has been nominated for the FAI Schools Under 15 Girls International Player Of The Year.
Yesterday we learned Dean Kelly who plays football with IT Carlow and New Oak Boys has been nominated by the FAI for Colleges & Universities International Player of the Year and now its time for a Kilkenny star to shine. It’s the first time the u’15s category has been included in the awards.
Ellen goes up against Aoife Cronin from Kilfane and Jess Stapleton from Palmerstown Community School. Ellen recently signed with Wexford after plying her craft with Thomastown United for years.
Speaking to KCLR, Thomastown Chairman Paul Doyle he said “We are delighted Ellen is getting the recognition she deserves after all the hard work and dedication she gives to the game. Ellen has been playing with Thomastown United from a very early ages right up to last Season for both the Boys and Girls teams and always gave 100%. Thomastown United wish Ellen all the best for her first Season in the Women’s National League and the upcoming FAI Awards night.”
