Former Carlow goalkeeper John Kearns says Cavan are on a hiding to nothing ahead of Saturday’s All-Ireland Football Qualifier clash against Carlow.
Speaking to KCLR, John there is huge pressure on the Ulster men to win.
“All the pressure now is on Cavan. They are really on a hiding to nothing. They are going into this game now knowing that if they lose to Carlow on Saturday evening, it will be a catastrophic defeat to them, and a disastrous end to their season, whereas if we can play well and even run these guys close, I think, run them to a couple of points, I think it’s still a good end to our season. Hopefully we can bring the positives from the game on Saturday after the win the last time(v Wicklow) into next season, but all the pressure is clearly on Cavan for Saturday night”
