Former Carlow Senior Football Willie Quinlan says that Carlow will feel quietly confident of upsetting the odds against Tyrone in the upcoming All-Ireland Qualifier.
Speaking to KCLR, Willie says Carlow have improved immensely over the past 12 months.
“Yeah, it is a tough draw, but 10 years ago you would say if you got that draw, you would be saying oh my god we were going to be beaten well by Tyrone.
“Last year we got Monaghan in the Round Robin as well. For 65 minutes, we really had Monaghan on the ropes, we just couldn’t put them away.
“I think we have improved immensely since last year, and I don’t think the lads will be afraid of Tyrone, I think they will be looking forward to it even,” he said.
The game throws in at 5pm Saturday week at Netwatch Cullen Park and we will have Full Live Commentary.
