Former Carlow Senior Footballer Willie Quinlan says the current Carlow Senior Squad is possibly one of the best to be seen in a long long time.
Speaking to KCLR as Carlow prepare for Round 3 of the National League at home to Leitrim on Saturday, Willie says the League is shaping up to be very promising.
“The one thing about Carlow this year and the last two years is they are very very organized, they have a very good game plan.
“I think this is possibly one of the best Carlow Teams we are seeing in a long long time, but again, it’s only two games in the League.
“If we played our first 5 games and we had 10 points we would be in an absolutely fantastic state, because other years we are kind of depending on if such a team would beat such a team and if they dropped points here but this year, we can go and win the first 5 games and have 10 points going into the Laois game, if we can do that, then it’s in our own hands at the end of the day,” he said.
