Leading National Hunt Trainer Henry De Bromhead says that rainfall is most welcome especially with the unusually dry and mild Winter they experienced last season.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of this weekend’s scheduled two-day Gowran Park meeting as the National Hunt season swings into gear, Henry says that Gowran was one of the few race tracks that experience more ideal ground last season.
He said “From now on especially after last winter it was unprecedented really, we had quick ground, I remember going to Thurles in February and the ground was only just good ground, Leopardstown in February is as well, Gowran was probably one of the softer tracks throughout the Winter but most places it was as I say unprecedented the ground we had”.
