Former Irish international and Aviva Junior Cup Ambassador Richard Dunne made a surprise call to lifelong Evergreen FC fan Peter Maher on Saturday with VIP Tickets for next Saturday’s FAI Junior Cup Final at the Aviva Stadium.

The 75 year old has been at the heart of the club for over 40 years and one season managed every Evergreen team from U-9 to U16 in the same season. He won the League and Cup in Kilkenny as manager of Evergreen at every age group and was a member of the FAI Schoolboys for several years.

Maher was even on several underage trips with his surprise guest on Saturday Richard Dunne. His first words when Dunne appeared at his door on Saturday morning; “Do you remember that trip to Iceland Richard?”.

The Evergreen FC legend will now be Aviva’s VIP Guest to watch his club at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday 13th May as they take on favourites and reigning champions Sheriff YC from Dublin at 6:00pm.

We’ll be live in Dublin this Saturday evening with Kevin Regan and Michael Walsh on commentary and analysis as Evergreen look to make history and take the FAI Junior Cup back to Kilkenny.
