European Ryder Cup captain Padraig Harrington says the ‘common consensus’ is that the matches against the USA must take place in front of spectators.
The Dublin native stated that it’s unlikely the tournament would be held without fans.
The Ryder Cup is due to be held between Europe and the USA in Whistling Straits, Wisconsin at the end of September.
Both captains Padraig Harrington and Steve Stricker say Europe and the US are united like never before. They’ve penned a joint letter addressing the COVID-19 pandemic.
Harrington and Stricker have praised the “displays of determination, passion and spirit” of those battling the virus.
