The schedule of events for Floodlights Opening Night in Wexford Park has been released ahead of Kilkenny’s Walsh Cup clash with gates opening at half 3.
Wexford still has a chance to secure a place in The Walsh Cup final but they do need to secure a high-margin victory over Kilkenny. The Cats meanwhile are coming off the back of two victories over Offaly and Laois, helping their scoring difference, particularly in the Laois game. While Derek Lyng has certainly talked about using the pre-season tournament to give players the opportunity to showcase themselves, he has also previously alluded to a desire to win the competition outright.
