GAA

There was a busy evening last night in Netwatch Cullen Park for the launch of the Carlow Club Championship

The Senior and intermediate ranks get up and running next weekend, with the Junior Championship well underway allready

We caught up with Carlow intercounty star and former Captain Diarmuid Byrne who lines out for Mount Leinster Rangers and he stated that players have to put friendships aside to come out on top. More to come on that.

8 time All Ireland winner Mick Fennally commenced his new role with Kilkenny GAA this week.

The role of the Performance Lead is to guide and direct Player and Coach Development across in the various strands of Kilkenny U14 to Sub Senior.

We recently spoke with Mick about the role and that interview is available online on Scoreline Extra.

There is one game tonight in the St Canice’s Credit Union Senior Intermediate Hurling League Group A

While fellow Carlovian Samuel McCabe has booked a final berth for himself after Team Ireland’s victories over Poland and Morocco yesterday in 7 aside soccer competition.
