Kilkenny Athletics PRO Perri Williams says that Kilkenny City Harrier Athlete Shay McEvoy is coming into the form at the right time ahead of the start of the European Junior Championships in Boras in Sweden next week.
Speaking to KCLR, Perri outlines how the qualification process for Shay came about.
She said “We have Shay McEvoy who ran in the Meylers Meet in Watford and he basically qualified for the 3K European Juniors.
“He ran 8.22, obviously it’s a PB for him, the qualifying time is 8.25 so Shay will obviously be tremendously excited to go in the European Juniors in Sweden again, that in Boras, a different location in Sweden later on in July”.
