Slieverue man Craig Breen won his class and came 5th overall in “The Ice Challenge” in Livigno in Italy on Sunday.
The local racer drove a buggy which he says made the trip from Andorra and was prepared for competition use.
He even went fastest overall in the Sunday mornings qualifying in what he has called “Benji the buggy”.
The Ice Challenge took place in Livigno in Italy in the snow at Ghiacciodromo on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th January.
31 cars, 8 kart-crosses, 11 legend cars, and 5 side-by-side / buggies were part of the sold-out entry event which took place behind closed doors.
Craig Breen who’s an official Hyundai driver in the WRC World Rally Championship used the event as part of his pre-season training for the 2021 season, it was also his debut at The Ice Challenge.
