The National Lottery have announced the county winners of this year’s Good Causes Awards. Each winner now proceeds to the National Finalist judging phase.
A county winner has been chosen for each of Kilkenny and Carlow under the sports section of this year’s awards.
In Carlow, the honour goes to the Republic of Ireland Ladies Snooker Association while the Kilkenny winner has been named as St. Martin’s GAA club.
The National Lottery’s Good Causes Awards celebrate and honour the inspirational work carried out by hundreds of volunteers, coaches, caregivers and other individuals across Ireland, and the organisations they represent.
This year saw 118 county finalists named across seven categories including sport, health and wellbeing, heritage, arts and culture, community, youth and Irish language.
Those 118 count finalists will be whittled down to 35 national finalists with a gala event planned for October this year.
