St. Mullins forward Marty Kavanagh says they can’t wait for the challenge of Cuala when the two clubs meet in the Leinster Semi-Final on Sunday week.
Speaking after Sunday’s Marty says they are inspired by the success of Mt. Leinster Rangers a few years back.
“Just to hear that even, a Leinster Semi-Final at home against Cuala, Leinster finalists last year. Some great county players but look we can’t wait for that now and we all got behind (Mt. Leinster) Rangers”
“I was up in Carlow when they played St. Endas Ballyboden and that was a savage game so hopefully the same. The roof lifted out of it in Dr. Cullen that day, so hope for the same Sunday week so hopefully we can put in a performance that day and give the crowd something to shout about”
Former St. Mullins hurler Pat Coady says that been written off will suit them ahead of the Leinster Club Semi-Final clash against Cuala on Sunday.
Speaking after Sunday’s victory against Raharney of Westmeath, Pat says they have the full support of the county behind them….
“Yeah, well sure I suppose it’s a long time ago now but in 2002 we played O’Tooles in Dr. Cullen Park in a Leinster Quarter-Final. No one gave us a hope and I suppose if your to check Paddy Power there, I’d say it will be the same sort of stuff”
“No one will give us a hope there. I have a feeling these lads will give it a good rattle and hopefully when you see people from Mt. Leinster Rangers and Myshall and other hurling clubs in Ballinkillen here supporting us, hopefully they will come out and support us again because we are flying the Carlow flag now and proud St. Mullins men to do so”
