St Mullins manager Niall O’Donnell says his team must improve if they are to continue their impressive run of form.
He believes that a strong start from his side was key in claiming a 2-19 to 3-13 victory against Naomh Eoin in the Carlow Senior Hurling Championship last weekend.
He told scoreline.ie that they need to keep working hard.
“We weren’t expecting it to be simple to be fair coming up (against St Mullins), we knew we’d be in for a battle, and thankfully the first quarter we played very well and that got us over the line ultimately,” said Niall.
“Myshall (Naomh Eoin) played great hurling in the second half and we were playing second fiddle for a lot of it and we just have to accept that and we have to try and improve”.
Naomh Eoin faces Ballinkillen this weekend in the last round of group games while Bagenalstown Gaels and Mount Leinster Rangers clash in the other game.
