St. Patrick’s of Tullow Gaelic Football coach Mick Kehoe says they have played a lot of challenge games to keep the players ticking over with no competitive action in recent months.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of this evenings Junior A Championship clash against Naomh Eoin Myshall, Mick says they have prepared as well as they could in the circumstances.
“Well sure the challenge unfortunately with the way fixtures are is to kind of try and source good quality challenge games to keep guys tuned in.
“There is only a certain amount of shelf-life you can have when there aren’t games with regards intensity, training and focus so we have done that, results have been mixed, we had some good challenge games, but overall relatively happy with how things have gone,” he said.
The winner of tonight’s game goes straight through to the Carlow Junior A Football Championship Semi Final with the loser facing Old Leighlin in the quarter final.
The game takes place at the Netwatch Training Centre in Fenagh this evening at 7.30.
