Former Wexford Senior Hurler Martin Storey says that Galway are applying the same methods that served Kilkenny so well in winning All-Irelands over the last 10 years.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of the Wexford v Galway match tomorrow evening(Saturday), Martin says that Galway are now physically able to match opposing teams.
“Maybe, they are a sign of a new type team. With the physical size and strength in every line on the field like.
Apart from having good hurlers and playing a running game and everything else, they are able to match most teams physically and they are able to go toe to toe if they have to.
“They are able to win their own ball when the pressure comes on and I mean that’s the sign that Kilkenny was doing for the last 20 years.
“They were just doing an impression I think of the real good Kilkenny Teams for the last 10 years,” he said.
