Graigue-Ballycallan Intermediate Hurling Selector Declan Browne says the Club winning the Under-21 Roinn B Championship has made it so much easier when it comes to organizing training as a number of players are involved with the Intermediate panel.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Saturday’s All-Ireland Intermediate Club Championship Semi-Final against Charleville, Declan says winning the Under-21 competition is a confidence booster…….
“It has, there is a lot of those younger lads on the Under-21 that probably haven’t won much with the club either so it’s very nice to get a medal for your efforts as well, it’s not all about the Intermediate Team”
“Certainly, it is a springboard for the future for any club and to win an Under-21 title, and to win it like, we won it in style as well so it was no fluke”
“It all helps going forward and especially for us over the whole Christmas period and those boys were hurling for three or four weeks when we would have been training anyway”
