Claire Phelan says the huge Kilkenny support made a major difference when they qualified for the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Final having defeated Galway in the All-Ireland Semi-Final on Saturday after extra-time.
Speaking to KCLR, Claire says they had the fight to within themselves to produce the result…..
“Yeah, very long afternoon. We were delighted though to come out with the win and It’s something special, just especially with the way it went, just delighted, but it’s where you want to be with crowds like that, the support was great when people start coming in for the lads match. I know they (Galway) got the goal in the end, but the match was never over but we knew we had the fight in us to pull out so we are just delighted now”
When asked about the upcoming All-Ireland Final, Claire added,
“Ah yeah, looking forward to it now. Another opponent for us, but just delighted to get there for now and we will think about that
