Carlow Senior Hurling Defender David English says their is a lot of adversity within the squad as they look to maintain their Division 1 prospects in Sunday’s relegation decider against Offaly.
David says they have the experience and determination to get a result on Sunday which will be very important going forward.
He said “We are after facing adversity an awful lot in the last couple of years, look at how many League Finals we got to, I think we got to four-in-a-row before we actually won one”.
“A lot of the lads involved in this group were involved with those groups as well so we have been in around the block a good bit the last couple of years, say the last five or six seasons so there is a lot of experience”.
He said “There is a lot of want to succeed as well so like it is extremely important that we try and maintain the status that we have reached and to try and stay up and try and compete against the best and I suppose against the odds, it’s extremely important for us and it’s extremely important for Carlow going forward in the years to come as well”.
