Three Acrobatic Gymnasts from Carlow are on the way to Italy to represent Ireland in the European Championships.
Anya Farrell, Roisin O’Toole, and Ella Sullivan qualified for the event following trials held during the summer.
The competition begins on September 29th in Pesaro, Italy, and all of the events will be live-streamed.
The manager of Carlow Gymnastics, Sara Rennick, has said that the championships represent a great opportunity for the girls.
“For the three girls, it really is the pinnacle of their careers to be selected to represent Ireland at senior level,” said Sarah.
“They had trials during the summer, in July in Abbottstown, and were thrilled to be selected to represent the country”.
The Carlow Acrobatic Gymnastics Club have set up a Go Fund Me page to help with the cost of travelling to the event.
