Manchester City kicked off the resumption of the Premier League season behind closed doors with a 3-0 defeat of Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.
A David Luiz horror show helped Manchester City to a 3-nil win over Arsenal.Gunners defender Luiz was sent off as City won comfortably through goals by Raheem Sterling, Kevin de Bruyne and Phil Foden. Luiz was at fault for the first goal and his professional foul led to De Bruyne’s penalty being converted.
Eric Garcia suffered a nasty injury in a collison with his own keeper Ederson,the City defender was stretchered off following the heavy collision.
The result means Liverpool cannot win the title against Everton on Sunday night.
The goalless draw between Aston Villa and Sheffield United was overshadowed by the incorrect decision of Hawk Eye technology not to award a goal to Sheffield United after the ball clearly crossed the line.
Hawk-Eye were forced to apologize after their system missed Aston Villa keeper Orjan Nyland carrying the ball over his line.
