“There is improvement needed” Kingdom boss Jack O’Connor challenges his team to raise performance ahead of clash with Dublin

Stephen O’Brien replaces Adrian Spillane in the only change to the Kerry team which beat Derry for Sunday’s All Ireland senior football final against Dublin at Croke Park.

Kerry are bidding for back-to-back titles against a Dublin team that last lifted the Sam Maguire Cup in 2020.

Derry was a much tougher task for the Munster Champs than Monaghan was for Dublin at the penultimate stage. Kingdom boss Jack O’Connor feels his players have to reach another level to win.

“We will be giving ourselves a good chance in the final. Obviously, the Dubs are stronger than they were last year. It is a matter then of whether are we stronger, are we better. the semi-final would suggest we are not.

“We will be hoping we will improve from the semi-final, there are a good few aspects of the semi-final performance we would not be happy about. We feel there is improvement needed in the team, and we will be hoping to get it.”
