There’s a meeting on the flat at Gowran Park today, with the first off there at 1.20 while the last race of the day goes off at 5.25 pm.

Local jockey Shane Foley should saddle Neowise for Jessica Harrington in the day’s opener.

For a run down here is Gowran Park race manager Eddie Scally;

“The first of 8 race cards goes to post at Gorwan Park today at 1:20, where the going is currently described as soft. “

“The forecast for today is mainly dry with a couple of passing showers, so we don’t expect the ground to change very much. In the first at 1.20 pm, a horse “Toughen Up”, trained by Andy Oliver up north and ridden by Billy Lee will probably go off as a short-priced favorite. It should follow any market support that looks like a very, very solid effort in that race. “

“Following that later in the card in the 2:30 race today, Tony Martin is running his horse, “Marco Monaco” ridden by Ben Cohen which should be a fairly exciting race. “Indian Outlaw” for Andrew McNamara would be a very interesting runner in this race as well but “Secret Sauce” is most likely going to go off favorite and will take all the beating. “

“The other race of note today is the 4.50 pm where Jim Bolger runs his horse, “Slaney Tied” who will definitely have a favorite chance in that race over one mile and 1 1/2 furlongs, but also another horse to keep on the right side of his “If it was me” again ridden by Billy Lee. “

“In the last the 5.25 pm “Queen of Seduction” ridden by Graig jockey Shane Foley and trained by Jessica Harrington, whose yard is absolutely flying at the moment, will be very popular, but an exciting eight-race card goes the post at 1:20 pm and our courtesy buses will be leaving from the castle gates around lunchtime”
