Kilkenny’s senior hurling manager Brian Cody was impressed with Antrim following Kilkenny’s 1-28 to 3-15 victory against the Saffrons at UPMC Nowlan Park on Sunday.
Antrim fought hard throughout the game but Kilkenny held on for the win, their second in the National League.
Speaking after the game, Brian Cody said that his team showed good character to defeat a spirited Antrim side.
“They’re up in the top division now having come from a lower division, and they’re working really well, really impressive, you can see the attitude they have on the field, you see the skill and everything else naturally enough,” said Brian.
“They had victory in their sights here today as well, so the lads did very well to come out the right side of it”. he added.
Next up for Kilkenny is a home tie with Wexford on Sunday 23 May at 2 pm.
